C.P. Vietnam Expands Export Opportunities for Processed Chicken to South Korea
Community
After Vietnam and South Korea completed negotiations to open their markets for processed chicken products, Vietnamese enterprises now have the opportunity to access a market with high requirements for quarantine, food safety, and traceability. In the initial phase, each country will have two enterprises permitted to export these products to the other market.
This result was announced within the framework of cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and South Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. The market opening is not only significant from a trade perspective, but also reflects the technical coordination capacity between the two sides in meeting standards for animal-origin products.
From a business perspective, Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, General Director of C.P. Vietnam, stated that this is an important milestone for Vietnam’s livestock and food processing industry. This achievement reflects the industry’s process of international integration, while also demonstrating that the production, processing, and standards-compliance capabilities of Vietnamese enterprises are increasingly improving.
C.P. Vietnam currently operates the CPV Food Binh Phuoc poultry farming and chicken processing complex for export, which is developed under an integrated Feed – Farm – Food value chain. This model enables the company to control the entire process from input to output, strengthening traceability, disease control, and compliance with food safety standards.
The additional export opportunity to South Korea is considered an important foundation for C.P. Vietnam to further strengthen its deep-processing capabilities, enhance product value, and participate more deeply in the global food supply chain.

In continuation of C.P. Vietnam’s commitment, the C.P. Cu Chi Plant has consistently upheld the principles of CP 3 Safety.
Over the past 10 years, the Cu Chi Plant has operated on a foundation of comprehensive safety standards, which are now clearly systematized under the “CP 3 Safety” framework: Safety for consumer health, Safety throughout the production chain, and Safety from suppliers. These principles are consistently applied across the entire process, from raw material control and closed-loop production operations to multi-layered inspection systems before products are brought to market. This contributes to stable product quality, traceability, and transparency across the production chain.
In parallel, the C.P. Cu Chi Plant continues to comply with international standards such as GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000, ensuring stable quality, food safety, and transparent traceability.
From an initial workforce of more than 200 employees, the team at the C.P. In addition to training programs to enhance professional skills, the company has also implemented various employee welfare activities, including programs for employees’ children on International Children’s Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival, as well as support for employees facing difficult circumstances.
After 10 years of operation, the C.P. Cu Chi Plant is gradually expanding its production capacity while continuing to invest in technology, quality standards, and sustainable development solutions to meet the growing demands of Vietnam’s food market.
